I needed to take a little break between filming Episode 8 and Episode 9 of our "What's On Your Mind?" faith podcast. The truth was that I felt run down and uninspired. The world's events had dragged me down spiritually. But I'm really grateful that I have a Light Source to turn to and plug into when I feel that way - One who fills me up and balances me out. After spending some more concentrated quiet time with the Lord and more time in the Word I felt replenished and got my inspiration back. I pray that this episode can shed some light for those who may also be feeling downtrodden and less like themselves these days.
WHAT'S ON YOUR MIND? - Episode 9:
In Episode 9, Linda Grace Byers and I explore the meaning behind the salt scripture in Matthew 5:13 that reads, "You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot."
What did Jesus mean when He told His followers to be the "salt of the earth"? Why did Jesus use salt as an analogy? Isn't it a bit severe to say that Christians are not good for anything and that they should be thrown out and trampled underfoot if they have lost their saltiness?
Join us as we examine the scriptures to find out.
