I have days where I feel in alignment with God and confident in my faith. And then I have moments where I feel tested and frustrated, especially when I see evidence that I haven't progressed as much as I would have hoped. My new song, entitled 'Tired', gives the listener an inside glimpse into my heart and mind when I'm having one of those frustrating moments.
I'm certain that most listeners will be able to relate to these lyrics whether it be from a spiritual standpoint or from a mental/emotional one. I have heard many of my friends, family, and acquaintances on social media express that they are feeling 'tired' and exhausted as they navigate the intense rollercoaster emotions (the hope-filled highs and the frustrating lows) that have surfaced during this trying Covid19 time.
I pray that this honest admission of mine emboldens others to admit when they're struggling and encourages people to get raw, real, and honest with God, themselves and others.
I want to give a special shout out to Ian Turner who heard the acoustic version of this track and added his special touch to it (BG vocals, bass, guitars, keyboards, and percussion).
